Maybe you'd like a grey wall in your garden brightening up?
This was a mural I painted for an elderly lady in Clifton, called Mary, who said that although she loved her house, she would gaze out of the window while washing up and feel trapped in due to the large concrete wall directly in front of her.
She asked me if I could paint a scene from her faviourite beach in Cornwall, and gave me a few photos to work from. I suggested that we use the wall to our advantage, by creating an illusion that fooled the eye into feeling like there was more space than there was (aka a Trompe l'œil).
